Doug is a practiced corporate attorney with comprehensive experience in an extensive variety of corporate matters. Doug is a graduate of the University of Alberta Law School (With Distinction) as well as the University of Alberta School of Business.

Doug assists and advises business clients in the establishment, growth and maturity of their various commercial enterprises, including start-up, financing, merger and acquisition, reorganization, and business transition steps and transactions. His practice has seen him advise regarding the launch and formation of new corporations, trusts, partnerships, joint ventures and other business enterprises. Doug’s corporate finance experience includes the guiding of lenders and borrowers through intricate secured financings. Doug has been able to employ his expertise to assist in the successful completion of a wide array of restructuring transactions as well as in matters of acquisition or disposition of commercial interests, including professional practices.

Doug’s clients include those engaged in health care services, recreation and entertainment, technology, retail, industrial development, commercial real estate, and international trade.

Doug is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the J. Reuben Clark Law Society and the N. Eldon Tanner Management Society. He is active in his community with his family in various not for profit and youth organizations.
